The Locks / Combined Locks

signage_combinedHeading downstream, this is the last of the Little Chute locks. It stands out among all the system locks because it’s actually two locks build in series. The downstream gates of the upper lock serve as the upstream locks of the lower lock. The two locks were built “as-one” because of the drastic drop in river elevation.
